The new version features a number of improvements. The developer team said that around 80% of the APIs in the new version are final and will be compatible with the upcoming v.1.0. Django comes bundled with modules that allow comment systems, RSS syndication, and URL redirection capabilities.

The Django trademark is help by Lawrence Journal-World, a multimedia company from Kansas. The software itself is open source and licensed under the liberal BSD license.
