A new website dedicated to Perl development on the Windows platform has been launched. The website serves as a community repository for information relating to Perl on Windows and the Win32 API.

One of the submitted logos.

The webpage in its current form uses MediaWiki.  According to the website supprt team that will change, because "it's obviously not ideal to have a Perl website using a PHP wiki application."  Possible options are either using existing software, or creating a new Catalyst-based wiki.

Because the site is new and commmunity-driven, it is currently listing a call for volunteers and a logo contest.  The volunteers should be willing to work on transfering content from camelpack.sourceforge.net (a project aiming to create full featured installers for Perl in the Windows environment),  implementing a new wiki, or cataloging all existing Win32 Perl modules.  The logo contest is going strong and already has several entrants.

The website operates on server space and bandwidth donated by Australian software company Phase N.
