SMART Systems, developer of integrated school
management software, will introduce OnlineSMART.net ASP to attendees of
the Annual Conference of the Career College Association (CCA) being
held June 12-14 in Las Vegas. OnlineSMART.net ASP allows users to
manage their school’s prospective, active and former student records
using just a PC with a high speed internet connection and Internet
Explorer.
“To experience school management software that’s secure, easy-to-use
and affordable, CCA members are being offered a 30-day ‘Test Drive’ of
OnlineSMART.net ASP at no cost or obligation,” said Alan Hatch,
President of Phoenix-based SMART Systems, Inc.
Hatch continued, “OnlineSMART.net ASP is a cost-effective way for
schools to deploy our products without a major investment in the
hardware, software and tech staff needed to maintain a computer
network. An ASP (application service provider) is simply another way of
accessing and utilizing applications. Instead of installing the
software on a dedicated server at a school,OnlineSMART.net ASP
applications are installed and managed at our central data center and
provide users with a convenient, cost-effective way to utilize the
power and functionality of OnlineSMART.net ASP.”
Mary Clare Lokken, owner of the Professional Salon Academy said, “We
enthusiastically recommend OnlineSMART.net ASP. It replaced manual
recordkeeping beautifully. It uses the latest security techniques and
is very user friendly. It provides all the report information we need
for accreditation, annual reports, and state and federal reporting.”
The origin of SMART Systems, Inc. took place in 1987 when Gene Miller,
the original developer of SMART, responded to the need of private
schools he was working with for an affordable, user-friendly method of
automating their administrative requirements. Along with two
colleagues, Miller developed the basic framework and the first version
of School Management And Record Tracking (hence the acronym SMART),
which was put into place in a school in Illinois.
