CMP Media Discontinues Print Version of Leading Perl Publication

CMP Media decided to stop publishing The Perl Journal - a leading programming publication.  It is now available solely as an online feature at http://www.tpj.com .

The Perl Journal was founded in 1996 by Jon Orwant, a leading Perl author.  It has established a reputation of he leading publication for and about Perl Programming.  It published articles by prominent members of the Perl community, as well as by programming enthusiasts.  Among other things, the journal hosted the Obfuscated Perl Contest, which encouraged entrants to write "devious, inhuman, disgusting, amusing, amazing, and bizarre Perl code".

The publishing company CMP Media LLC is a business-to-business multimedia company that provides information and integrated marketing services to technology  professionals.
