EVault Partners With Intuit Eclipse to Offer Wholesale Distributors an Online Backup and Recovery Service

EVault, Inc., a Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX) company and the trusted expert in complete data protection solutions, announced today it is partnering with Intuit Eclipse, a leading provider of business management solutions for the wholesale distribution industry, to provide Intuit Eclipse customers with a new business continuity offering designed to help protect data in the event of a disaster.

The new service, Eclipse Business Connect Remote Backup, is powered by EVault technology, and offers users an opportunity to automatically back up business-critical data online to one of EVault’s seven secure Tier III or IV data centers, all of which are SAS 70 Type II certified.

Eclipse Business Connect Remote Backup, powered by EVault, provides businesses with minimal or no IT resources with a reliable, centralized online backup and recovery service to improve their data protection process. Safely off-site, the encrypted data is available online at all times for immediate, user-initiated recovery. The service works seamlessly in conjunction with an organization’s existing infrastructure with no additional hardware required.

The service immediately transfers backup data off-site to a secure data center via the Internet or existing private networks, conducting online backups automatically and without human intervention. In addition, it allows organizations to easily conform to compliance regulations governing electronic storage and access to confidential data. Before transfer, backup data is encrypted and remains encrypted until it is restored to the client computer. Data is always available, secure and online for immediate restore without additional administrator intervention.
