Thin File (Pvt) Ltd. Announces the Availability of a New Version of Thin Image Upload

November 10, 2006; 07:56 AM
Thin File (Pvt) Ltd., a developer of file transfer software, is pleased to announce a new version of Thin Image Upload (http://upload.thinfile.com), an image upload applet used by thousands of companies and webmasters.

With film cameras giving way to digital cameras more and more people are uploading their photographs to online photo sharing sites. Many of these sites ask their visitors to use basic HTML form to upload their files.

While a traditional HTML form does not provide any feedback to the user on transfer speeds, Thin Image Upload has two different progress monitors. The old way allows users to upload only a hand full of files at once. However, with Thin Image Upload users can drag, drop and upload thousands of files in a single transfer.

Webmasters use the product to provide an enhanced user experience for visitors, while saving time and money. The new version of Thin Image Upload includes several improvements over the previous version resulting in more time and money saved and an elevated user encounter.

One of the major advantages that a web site owner has with Thin Image Upload is that photos can be resized before transfer, resulting in a significant reduction in bandwidth usage. Bandwidth consumption can be reduced further by using Thin Image Upload's client side filtering feature to ensure that unwanted file types are not included. The new release adds the ability to add a watermark to the photo as well.

The Thin Image Upload applet is compatible with all popular browsers such as: Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Safari and Opera on Windows (including Vista), Linux and OS X. It is also compatible with popular server side technologies such as PHP, Java, Perl and .NET.

Thin File (Private) Limited is an innovative software company located in Sri Lanka. Their range of file upload tools is used by organizations such as Shell and NASA. Free downloads are available for all of their products at http://upload.thinfile.com.
