Greatlinux and MySQL Launch Open Source Partnership in China

MySQL AB, the developer of the world's most popular open source database, and Greatlinux Inc, a leading open source solutions and services provider in China, jointly announced a strategic partnership to deliver commercial MySQL-based solutions to the burgeoning Chinese market.

Greatlinux is MySQL's first Chinese partner, a significant milestone which shows strong confidence in China. The growing number of downloads of MySQL from the country indicates the maturity of the Chinese IT industry that companies are very interested in taking advantage of the power, performance and cost benefits of open source software.
