Axure Aims to Win Over Microsoft Visio Users with Latest Release of Popular Web Application Prototyping Software

Axure Software Solutions announced the latest release of Axure RP Pro, a software tool for creating wireframes and defining requirements for web applications. As the leading alternative to traditional diagramming and presentation tools for application design, Axure RP continues to expand its feature set to appeal to application designers struggling to adapt Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint to their needs.

The addition of flow diagramming capabilities in this release allows users to model the diagrams commonly used in application design including page flows, scenarios, and business processes. Victor Hsu, president of Axure Software Solutions explains, “Prior to this release, our customers incorporated flow diagrams into Axure RP using other tools, but now all of that can be accomplished in Axure RP and integrated with the wireframes.”

•    Foreign Character Support – Provides support for prototyping non-English applications.
•    Usability Enhancements – Improves the usability of existing features. For example, it is now even faster to create basic links.
•    Performance Optimizations – Enhances the overall responsiveness of the application.
