August 22, 2006; 05:17 AM Linux-oriented IT solutions company, Turbolinux,
has initiated the international sales release of a plug-in CMU for
existing COBALT users to migrate to Turbolinux Appliance Server 2.0
(TLAS2).
TLAS2 was launched as a new Server OS, designed to
enable set up of the server, settings and deployment on the Linux
operating system equipped with the web management console TLAS Server
Desktop, based on Blue Quartz. Users include hosting services, ISPs and
rental server services as well as the small or medium-sized companies
and schools. TLAS2 users can add the advanced function on each user's
web server and the mail server by installing the free plug-ins from
Turbo Plus, the management tool for TLAS Server.
Turbolinux has launched five varieties of free plug ins and will offer
more in the future including PHPx2, PHP Accelerator, and CMS, the trial
version of commercial software in Japan. For international versions,
Turbolinux offers the Cobalt Migration Tool and more plug ins will be
available in the future. Turbolinux is offering a free 30-day trial of
the latest version and other services with the download of the TLAS2
Starter Kit. Users can also try new functions within each environment
and will be able to switch the product package without installation of
the software again. TLAS2 requires an update to the latest version
before installing the free plug ins.
Turbolinux develops and sells the leading Linux distribution in
Asia-Pacific. The operating system has been designed to run on a range
of hardware platforms, including Intel-based servers and IBM
mainframes. Turbolinux, with headquarters in Japan and offices

Japanese market, including Japanese and Chinese language
