Turbolinux Partners with Zend Technologies to Expand Deployment of PHP on Linux Solutions in Asia

TOKYO, Japan – April 6, 2006 – Turbolinux, Inc., a global leader of Linux-based solutions and Zend Technologies Ltd., the world’s leading PHP technology and service provider, today announced the signing of an exclusive agreement to further deployment of PHP on Linux solutions in the Asian market. The partnership between Turbolinux and Zend marks the first time that Zend Technologies has contracted for an exclusive alliance in Asia; one that includes the rapidly growing markets of China and India.

Under the terms of the contract negotiations concluded on April 1, 2006, Turbolinux will serve as the exclusive distributor for Zend applications in Japan, and will also participate in a distribution partnership in China and India.

Additionally, Zend Technologies provides commercial products for development and operation of professional PHP applications, as well as consulting and education services to help companies be successful with their PHP initiatives.

This synergistic collaboration will be of strategic value to the open source community in Asia. Turbolinux’s expert sales and distribution channels provide several value-added services to existing PHP customers. Additionally, Turbolinux will serve as a Zend product vendor for customers not currently utilizing the Turbolinux OS. Regardless of the OS deployed, Turbolinux and Zend Japan intend to maximize the advantages of both companies in the Asian open source environment.
