Parrot v.0.4.3 Available

The Parrot team announced another monthly release of Parrot (http://www.parrotcode.org/), available as parrot-0.4.3.tar.gz  (http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/L/LT/LTOETSCH/parrot-0.4.3.tar.gz). Changes and news:

  • namespaces partially implemented
  • rulec, Perl6 rule compiler
  • PGE improvements including return values for closure
  • parts of a Perl6 parser based on PGE
  • complex trigonometric methods
  • type of Sub PMC is now overridable by HLL
  • NetBSD support
  • many bug fixes and improvements

Parrot is in steady development and  the latest releases are available from SVN (http://www.parrotcode.org/source.html).

 

About Parrot

Parrot is a virtual machine designed to efficiently compile and execute bytecode for interpreted languages. Parrot will be the target for the final Perl 6 compiler.
