Zmanda Expands Relationship with Red Hat

Zmanda™, the leader in open source backup and recovery software, today announced that Red Hat is reselling a significantly expanded selection of Zmanda products and services through Red Hat Exchange (RHX), Red Hat's online technology solutions marketplace launched earlier this year.

RHX customers can now choose from Zmanda solutions, including the Amanda Enterprise network backup solution for a broad range of heterogeneous platforms, Zmanda Recovery Manager (ZRM) for MySQL-specific backup, and additional Zmanda support options.

"As the offerings available through RHX continue to grow, we want to ensure that RXH customers have the flexibility to choose the open source soutions that best meet their needs. Adding additional products from Zmanda help to achieve this flexibility."

RHX is a single source for research, purchase, online fulfillment and support of business application stacks powered by open source. Through RHX, customers can acquire pre-integrated software solutions, incorporating infrastructure software from Red Hat and business application software from RHX partners, such as Zmanda.

As a result of Zmanda's expanded relationship with Red Hat, RHX channel partners and customers now have access to a range of backup and recovery solutions, including:

  • Zmanda's Amanda Enterprise network backup and recovery solutions for a broad a range of Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions and heterogeneous client backup and recovery support. Available client support now includes Linux and Solaris, as well as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Exchange.

  • Zmanda Recovery Manager (ZRM) for MySQL, the only comprehensive, enterprise-class backup and recovery solution designed specifically for MySQL databases.

  • Three levels of support service to address a range of needs
