Altiris Launches New Deployment Support for Latest Computing Platforms

Altiris, Inc., a pioneer of service-oriented management solutions, today announced the launch of Altiris^® Deployment Solution^™ 6.8 with new enhancements to further reduce the time and cost of deploying and managing IT infrastructures. New features help IT professionals automate the management of diverse server and client computing platforms with a focus on reducing the cost and complexity of change to new operating environments and hardware platforms like 64 bit.

At the ManageFusion^® Vienna user conference, Altiris will demonstrate current capabilities to automate deployment of Windows Vista^a. IT organizations require solutions to ensure business continuity through the transition to new software and hardware platforms. To effect efficient computing change, Altiris provides integrated solutions for hardware inventory assessment, operating system deployment, application packaging and virtualization, and data and settings migration.
