September 19, 2006; 04:34 AM KnowledgeTree™, the world’s leading Open Source document management
system, has launched a software reseller programme, providing existing
and new partner companies with new revenue opportunities around
KnowledgeTree implementations.
“KnowledgeTree partner companies now have an opportunity to earn up to
30% on the retail price of commercial editions of KnowledgeTree. Since
commercial editions of KnowledgeTree are subscription-based, partner
companies have the opportunity to build substantial annuity income
streams,” says Daniel Chalef of KnowledgeTree developers Jam Warehouse.
Over 60 companies currently belong to the KnowledgeTree Partner
Programme and provide infrastructure, implementation, training and
onsite support services around both the open source and commercial
editions of KnowledgeTree. The KnowledgeTree Partner Programme has been
reorganized into three tiers, with the KnowledgeTree Small Business
Partner and Premium Partner tiers providing a reseller incentive,
marketing opportunities and access to KnowledgeTree software.
A new Market Place partner tier provides KnowledgeTree independent
software vendors and smaller organizations with the ability to make
their presence known to the world through free listing on the online
KnowledgeTree Market Place directory.
KnowledgeTree, built on the popular open source LAMP (Apache/MySQL/PHP)
stack, has been downloaded more than 200,000 times to date. It is being
used by Fortune 500 companies, community organizations, local and state
governments and educational and scientific institutions around the
world.
The application is also available in a commercially supported version,
KnowledgeTree Professional, that offers additional functionality
including a WebDAV Integration Server and Client Tools for Windows,
providing a familiar Windows Explorer and Microsoft Office interface
into the document repository and direct-to-repository scanning
capability.
