July 28, 2006; 04:30 AM Capscan, a leading supplier of International address management
solutions and data integrity services, announced that Matchcode
International for the web now covers 240 countries. Matchcode
International for the web speeds up and simplifies the form-filling and
registration process on a website, by enabling the visitor to simply
enter a postcode or partial address to return a full and valid address.
Supporting Java, CGI (HTML and XML), Active-X, ISAPI, and .NET,
Matchcode International is also available as an Application Program
Interface (API) to enable users to seamlessly integrate the software
within their own in-house systems and a hosted service.
“A complicated registration is one of the top five causes of website
dissatisfaction,” comments Managing Director of Capscan, Terry Hiles,
referencing a recent SciVisum survey in which 47% of online shoppers
citied this reason. “Matchcode International for the web helps to
decrease drop-off numbers and incomplete transactions whilst creating a
positive site image, supporting identity validation and critically
enhancing the overall customer experience.”
Using Matchcode International for the web all inputted data is matched
against the Royal Mail’s Postcode Address File (PAF) or one or more of
the many new additional international datasets available including
international data for 240 countries and territories worldwide. Postal
address files are obtained from postal administrations around the
world, frequently enhanced by additional national data to ensure that
there is no more complete web-based solution available for the country
in question. It ensures that prospect and customer databases are
populated with accurate, formatted information, vital for successful
prospect follow-up and marketing campaigns.
A demonstration of how Matchcode International can be used within a website is available from http://www.capscan.co.uk/mcdidemo.htm.
Capscan will also be making Matchcode International for the web
available for demonstration on stand C70 at Call Centre Expo 2006,
3rd-4th October, Birmingham NEC.
