Zend Technologies to host second annual PHP Conference and EXPO

Zend Technologies, Inc. announced it will host the second annual Zend/PHP Conference and Expo October 31-November 2, 2006. The conference, “Creating Modern Web Applications with PHP”, will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, California. The conference will include both business and technical sessions targeted at executive management and technical staff as well as keynotes from leading members of the PHP community. New this year is a Framework Pavilion in which API providers will showcase best practices for creating PHP applications for their web services.

With the introduction of version 5, PHP has the scalability, robustness, integration and support for web standards to make it the perfect fit for creating and deploying modern web applications. These applications foster rich interaction and community, and are changing the way companies interact with their customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. At the Zend/PHP Conference 2006, members of the PHP community will interact with experts and with their peers, sharing their experience and best practices for creating these applications with PHP.

The conference will have keynotes as well as business and technical sessions, over three days, organized in three tracks:

• PHP and Web Services – Architecting and Building Service Based Applications: From SOA to Mashups
• PHP Development – Best Practices and Pivotal Skills for PHP Development
• PHP Management – Operating Business Critical PHP Applications

The conference will also feature an exhibition hall featuring demonstrations by the leading companies in the PHP and web services markets.

Creating Modern Web Applications with PHP
The conference, slated for October 31-November 2, 2006, will include daily keynote addresses, technical and business sessions, an exhibit hall, the Framework Pavilion and evening activities. The event will include a wide range of sessions, from in-depth technical sessions for PHP developers to business case studies highlighting PHP-based enterprise solutions from Fortune 1000 companies. Attendees will also be able to participate in pre-conference Training and Certification sessions hosted by Zend on October 29 and 30.
