YesSoftware Announces 2006 CodeCharge Studio Developer Award Winners

Winners of the second annual CodeCharge Studio Developer Awards were announced by YesSoftware.

For the past two years, the YesSoftware CodeCharge Studio Development Awards have been presented to the developers that best exemplify in their work the features and capabilities of the CodeCharge Studio visual rapid Web application development and reporting tool.

“The awards are a way for YesSoftware to recognize talented development teams and outstanding Web application development using CodeCharge Studio,” said Konrad Musial, CEO, YesSoftware. “This year’s awards were intense and nominations came in from around the world. The Virginia Department of Transportation turned to CodeCharge Studio to develop its Dashboard Version 2.0. Recognized by many as a front-runner in government accountability, the Dashboard keeps managers and citizens informed of VDOT's performance in the core areas of planning, building, operating, and maintaining roads. The Dashboard aggregates data from over a dozen source systems to give an integrated perspective on the agency as a whole. The Dashboard also allows users to drill down and filter data to identify specific performance problems.

The Dashboard makes extensive use of CodeCharge Studio's powerful and easy to use Grid control to display data and allow users to sort and filter data. Very little custom coding was used and the result was an application that was easy to change as requirements evolved and remains simple to maintain. The Dashboard is integrated with Microsoft's SQL Server Reporting Services and leverages a simple web service to provide secure data layer communication through the firewall.
