"We wouldn't be Web 2.0™ compliant if we didn't let you tag each task with useful keywords"

Best Practical, best known for creating the Request Tracker software, just launched Hiveminder, an online shared todo list service.

Hiveminder makes it easy to keep track of tasks and share that information online. Users can assign tasks to anyone who has an email address, without them having to sign up for an account. Groups let anyone share tasks with a set of friends or coworkers. A paid premium service will be introduced later this year, but basic accounts for Hiveminder will remain free.

Tasks can be delayed until tomorrow, next week or next year, with a click of the mouse. Says the development team: "'But first' and 'and then' links on every task make it easy to procrastinate...er, to model complex projects... We wouldn't be Web 2.0™ compliant if we didn't let you tag each task with useful keywords."

Hiveminder was created using the Perl programming language and the web development framework Jifty .
