Extensive Book on Python Programming Available Freely (and Legally) Online

A free programming book for Python coders has been published online at http://diveintopython.org/.  "Dive into Python" is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License, which gives enormous freedoms to modify and redistribute the book in all its forms.

The book is available in a variety of formats, including Microsoft Word, HTML, PDF, and XML. The text is translated into six languages, other than English: Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Russian.  The download packages includes 400 pages of text and, separately, a number of training projects with Python code (as .py files) included. 

Additionally, the site offers links to popular Python-related development frameworks, learning resources and programmer communities.
